India's Eve

Tuesday, July 20, 2010
I can't believe that I'm leaving to India tomorrow! TOMORROW! Can you believe it?!

I used to think a few years ago that: why am i gonna start my degree so late? On my 20-ies? Seriously? That's a phase of our most exciting life! By the time i finish studying, I'm gonna be so OLD and GRUMPY!
BUT, see this:

Ever beautiful Gong Li
She is 45!! 45 years old!!!!!!! She's not old and grumpy! In fact, she's much more beautiful and HOTTER than her younger-self:

I don't know how old was she.. Might be in her 20-ies.

My perception towards age changes. You don't have to be young to be pretty, and you are not necessarily ugly when you are old. I realise that i was shallow to say that I''ll be OLD AND GRUMPY when i graduated from India after 5 years. I'll be only 25 years old! Still youthful and fresh!
P/S : Must start eyeing on anti-ageing products now!

Just have to enjoy myself in India. India is not that BAD afterall(from my friends' perspective.. Gotta see it for myself)! It's just like when people think of SABAH, they thought of:

1.ORANG UTAN!

 2. People living on trees

3. And people wearing leaves.

Yes you do imagine SABAH like that! Don't deny it!! Darn! It's all because of the tourism promo of CUTI CUTI MALAYSIA!

Anyway, now i know not to listen to other people's perspective of the typical India--- dirty, unhygienic, no clean water, no shopping malls, beggars crawling around (SORRY if i offended any of you, it's just an example! ). I'm sure that India is better than this! It's just the people's negative assumptions and effects of the mass media exposing India as a country like one in "Slumdog Millionaire". I shall see it for myself before i make any comments about India =]

India is a country which is full of beautiful contrasts. It is also a land of rich rituals, fascinating festivals and mesmerising ceremonies. The geographical diversity of India makes it one of the most sought after tourist destinations.

See? We can go travel around INDIA!! If i never got the chance to go India, i probably wouldn't thought of travelling to India. Yes, I was biased that i know.

Anyhow, I know the Lord is ahead of me in India, preparing the place for me. He will always over provide for us! His blessings and plans for us are always beyond our wildest dreams! And I believe that this chance to study in India itself is already a blessing. It's a test and challenge for me to be stronger, to grow and be closer to the Lord.

Father Lord, I thank you for sending me to India to learn and grow. I pray that you'll continue to teach me to be a blessing to other people there in the new foreign place. Lord i pray that you continue to be with my friends and family when i'm away. Continue to lay your loving hands over them, bless them and refresh them with your love and grace. In Jesus' name i pray, Amen.

Gotta start packing RIGHT NOW!! God, I pray that no matter how many things that i put into my luggage, it won't get overweight in Jesus' name! Amen!

I'm not alone

Tuesday, July 13, 2010

I was inspired to write this after i saw the night sky yesterday. Yes i was alone with no street lights. But I know i'm not alone for God is with me, ALL the time. He showed me the wonders that He created. He commands the wind to blow. He knows each stars by name. He showed me how we can see the brightest light only in the darkest place.

Sorry, no translation for the passage above. If you know mandarin, Congratulations! You can read! =]

Actsperience . Love

Thursday, July 8, 2010

Thank you, Father. For sending such amazing people to surround me. Even just for a really short period of one month, i've really grown much and learnt a lot.

Midnight McD session with Acts Campus students. =]

Thank you, people. Thank you, Acts Church. Thank you, pastors. Thank you, my family in Christ. It was such a great blessing to know you all. One billion "thank you" couldn't express my gratitude completely.

Pr.Dave, sharing about Campus Revo during RE:UNION

Yes they are indeed that good. They dont mind the fact that I'll be leaving to India soon, they stil love me and help me grow. They treat me like a baby. A flower bud that will soon bloom into beautiful flower that wouldn't wilt, by God's grace. They stil pour out their time to teach me and mentor me. They teased me and bullied me, but out of love. Lol.

Nobody ever did that to me before. Believe it or not, I was the loner in school last time. Nobody ever wanna waste their time talking to me. Sounds sad right. Haha. But here everyone do love people genuinely. Quote Pr. Dave: "At the end, it's all about the people."

Another campus breakout session

In Acts I learnt that i'm complete and secure in Christ. I learnt the worth of being a woman, especially through Pr. Sandra. We are custom made by God, and He holds us gently in His hands. One day our Father will carefully put us into the hands of someone worthy. He has great plans for us, and He only gives us His best =]
Quote from the BIBLE: "When your Earthly father knows how to shower you with good gifts, what more our Father in Heaven?"
Matthew 7:11 -- If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

And this i'll remember forever: "No one ever regretted keeping themselves pure; but ALL regretted when they gave out themselves to someone not their spouse, especially girls." --- P.I. Sarah Fong. I think ALL females, old and young, NEED to know about this, urgently.

I'm really glad that i know Christ at this point. A point where most of us will be deprive of LOVE. It's sad that not all know that God's love is sufficient for us. Not all know that God's grace is enough for us. Not all! And they really need to know! God really loves us unconditionally. He knows everyone. He loves everyone. Including sinners. He condemns sins, but He doesn't condemn you. Yes He doesn't.

Here are some pictures taken during this short but fruitful period. I somehow lost my cam-whoring ability here. Might be due to the feeling of inferiority as everyone else are using DSLR to snap professional pictures. Especially when i know most of the people in Actsposure (photography ministry) LOL. Sorry if i din't manage to take pictures with you, you know i love you. =] (btw I stole some pictures from facebook.. XD)

Driving in my hometown.. What an enjoyable thing to do.

4.57pm.

Looking at the big blue sky, humming my favourite song; even if it's traffic jam i don't feel frustrated at all.

Who can be frustrated when all that you see is the bright beautiful KK sky?

I LOVE KK. =]

Yes. Be naked in front of God.

Be real in front of God.

He seen your mess.

He knows your flaws.

You don't have to hide yourself from Him.

You can't.

Because He is GOD.
